Job summary

Prime Controls is seeking instrumentation students with a strong work ethic for our summer internship program. The internship is designed to allow the student to experience the instrumentation and controls industry up close and to see if a career in controls is right for them.

During the internship, you will inspect and test instrumentation and control systems, read complex drawings, and configure equipment to production specs, with guidance from experienced staff.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn in a practical setting.
• Pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in instrumentation technology, electrical technology, or an equivalent program.
• Must be currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student.
• Graduation date in Summer 2025 or later.
• Available to intern for a minimum of 6 continuous weeks.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting and testing instrumentation and control systems to guarantee optimal operation.
• Reading and interpreting complex technical drawings and schematics.
• Configuring and adjusting control systems and equipment according to production specifications.
• Receive technical guidance from staff regarding system operation and troubleshooting.
