TotalEnergies is seeking an Instrument Technician for our La Porte Polypropylene Plant. You will install, maintain, repair and calibrate a wide range of instruments that monitor level, flow, pressure, temperature, and water analysis.

You will troubleshoot telemetry systems and read wiring diagrams for installations and repairs. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, coordinating with teams, documenting changes, and training junior technicians.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Basic mechanical skills with equipment experience is advantageous.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to follow safety regulations and procedures.
• Flexibility for overtime and weekends.
• Physically able to perform required tasks.

Responsabilités

• Install, maintain, repair, calibrate and test industrial instruments for level, flow, pressure, temperature, position, and water analysis.
• Troubleshoot process controller hardware and telemetry system hardware/software.
• Perform preventative maintenance and calibrate DIs and recording devices.
• Read wiring diagrams and electrical/ control drawings for installations and major repairs.
• Estimate labor, materials and supplies for assignments.
• Direct work of others and train less-experienced technicians as needed.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and site regulations.
