Job summary

Instrumentation Technician position at Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in San Diego, on-site. You will calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory instruments to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuous operation.

You will collaborate daily with laboratory staff, OEM vendors, facilities teams, and quality/compliance personnel, so strong communication matters as much as technical skill. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in GMP/GLP/ISO environments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Instrumentation or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Preferred GMP/GLP/ISO or other regulated documentation practices

Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations, verifications, and functional testing on laboratory instruments
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate OEM vendor repairs
• Monitor equipment performance trends and recommend preventive or corrective actions
• Respond to equipment service requests promptly to minimize downtime
• Update asset records and work orders in CMMS
• Manage inventory of spare parts and calibration standards
• Maintain calibration and service records per GMP/GLP/ISO
