Under the general supervision of the Electrical Supervisor the Electrical & Instrumentation Technician, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots electronic equipment. Must be able to read and interpret electronic and electrical drawings. Maintains, services, and repairs other electrical and various mechanical equipment. Works with repair crews by spotting, isolating, and disconnecting equipment to facilitate repair work. All other duties assigned by the Electrical Supervisor.
Overview: Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians are responsible for repairing, servicing, and maintaining all electronic equipment throughout MCC operations while complying with all applicable mining regulations and/or MCC policies at all times. Education & Experience Requirements:
Requires at least four years of verifiable experience as an electrician in mining or heavy industry. Must be familiar with the care and use of meters, meggering motors and cable, and troubleshooting AC and DC starters, variable speed drives, and power distribution equipment. Must be knowledgeable in CEM, pressure/flow transmitters, RTDs/Thermocouples.
