Job description

FCX Performance, an Applied Industrial Technologies Company, is a leading process flow control company providing technical mission-critical products and services to over 15,000 end users, OEMs, and EPC firms across various industries and markets.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  1. Perform field maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems in a timely, accurate, and safe manner, including:
  • Calibrating pressure, temperature, flow, and other instrumentation
  • Commissioning instrumentation and shooting loops
  • Installing and calibrating measuring and positioning devices
  • Performing minor electrical maintenance
  • Complete all documentation related to actions taken, report job activity, and maintain detailed logs of service calls, parts, and orders.
  • Represent the company during field service tasks with a positive attitude.
  • Identify and report safety issues to the appropriate customer representative.
  • Identify opportunities for upgrades at the customer facility.
  • Research task criteria prior to arriving on-site.
  • Use company vehicle to travel to and from job sites, maintaining defensive driving habits.
  • Essential Physical Functions & Equipment Used:

    • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
    • Ability to stand, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
    • Ability to climb ladders and stairs in an industrial environment.
    • Ability to work at heights using fall protection.
    • Availability for occasional call-ins and overnight travel to various locations and customer sites.
    • Work performed indoors and outdoors, with exposure to weather, elements, heavy equipment, power tools, and other environmental factors.

    Preferred Education & Experience:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Technical Degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience installing, maintaining, and repairing process/control equipment, including instrumentation, valves, actuators, and pumps.
    • Proficiency in operating electronic and microcomputer instruments used to measure and control variables.
    • Mechanical proficiency with hand and power tools.
    • Electrical/electrician experience.
    • Experience with tubing, tray, and instrument stand installation.
    • Industrial safety training.
    • PLC programming and troubleshooting skills.
    • Drive programming and troubleshooting experience.

    Work Environment:

    Varied environments including indoor and outdoor customer facilities, exposure to weather, clean rooms, factories, construction sites, and other conditions.
