Job summary

Del Mar College Testing Center seeks a TERM Instructor to provide quality instruction in Instrumentation Technology and related areas, including safety instrumented systems, automation programming, and calibration of instrumentation equipment. Courses may be online or offered as dual-credit/early college classes across multiple locations as needed.

Qualifications

Associate of Applied Science in Instrumentation degree and five (5) years of documented work experience in Instrumentation/Automation or a related field.
Eight (8) or more years of documented work experience in Instrumentation/Automation or related work experience.

Responsibilities

Ensure syllabi, course outlines and class instruction meet state and industry standards.
Provide students with a written and accessible course syllabus that follows guidelines and facilitates understanding of content and expectations.
Evaluate students to measure progress toward achievement of course outcomes.
Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community.
Hold scheduled office hours and be available for conferences with students to support improvement.
