Job summary

Prime Controls, L.P. is seeking an Instrumentation Technician II to perform troubleshooting and repair on instrumentation used in automation of large industrial processes. You will assist with PLC, network, computer, and software components, program PLCs and HMIs, and test system functionality during start-up.

Responsibilities include calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of I/O, with travel to customer sites as required. Strong knowledge of PID, Ethernet, and drive systems is essential.

Qualifications

• 4 years experience as an instrumentation technician.
• Knowledge of AC/DC drives operation.
• Understanding of PID and control loops.
• Experience with Ethernet communications and connections.
• Proficient with PLC and HMI systems, including communication drivers and navigation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation for large industrial processes.
• Program PLCs and HMIs; test logic and equipment.
• Travel to customer sites to provide services as required.
• Assist with system integration projects and documentation.
