Job summary

Rust Automation & Controls seeks a Field Service Technician to support customers across the Western United States. This role centers on hands-on instrumentation service, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair in diverse industrial environments, with autonomy and collaboration with internal teams.

Responsibilities include travel to a varied customer base, applying instrumentation knowledge, performing hands-on troubleshooting, calibration, and repair, and ensuring safety and quality standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement).
• Associate Degree in a technical field (preferred).
• Field service or industrial experience (preferred).
• Instrumentation training or apprenticeship experience (preferred).
• Calibration and/or metrology experience (preferred).
• Safety certifications or credentials (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Daily travel to a diverse customer base across multiple industrial environments.
• Apply instrumentation knowledge to troubleshoot, repair, and service equipment.
• Successful completion and application of apprenticeship-level instrumentation training.
• Adapt to customer-specific safety, operational, and environmental requirements.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting, calibration, and repair activities.
• Utilize hand tools and electronic testing equipment to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Maintain professionalism, safety compliance, and quality standards in the field.
• Regional travel within states UT, CA, CO, WY, NV, ID, MT, ND, HI.
