Job summary

Audubon Houston, TX, is seeking an Instrument Engineering Associate III to perform engineering assignments related to designing instrumentation and systems for projects. You will prepare specifications, sketches and calculations, and review vendor drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.

In this role you will interact with clients and suppliers, visit sites and vendors, manage workload and budgets, and ensure safety and quality standards are followed throughout the project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• ABET-accredited program preferred; EIT certification may be beneficial.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience preferred.
• Experience with instrumented control and safety systems preferred.
• Familiarity with ISA, NEC, API standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specifications detailing performance requirements, design codes and vendor drawing requirements.
• Develop engineering sketches, perform calculations and models for moderately complex projects.
• Review vendor drawings for compliance with project specifications.
• Interact with clients, subcontractors, vendors and other consultants.
• Visit sites and vendor facilities to evaluate requirements and compliance.
• Ensure projects meet schedule and budget and adhere to safety standards.
