Job summary

International Cooling Tower, Inc. seeks an instrumentation engineer to review boiler thermal designs, define instrumentation cases, and prepare BOMs, specifications, and cost estimates for instrumentation and trim.

You will verify that components meet ASME/ANSI/NEC/UL/ISA/NFPA codes and interface with customers for project reviews. You will create and review the Instrument Bill of Materials, the PID, and related drawings, collaborating with Trim Specialists and field personnel to ensure design

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Technical experience in Heat Transfer or Fluid flow.
• Understanding of ASME code – Section I and VIII/Division I.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines with thorough documentation.
• Occasional domestic or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify the thermal design of the boiler to assure process guarantees.
• Determine designing cases for instrumentation from process conditions.
• Prepare bills of material, instrument specifications, and cost estimates; verify code compliance.
• Review project documents and interface with customers for technical review.
• Provide technical support to field personnel for trim and instrumentation issues.
• Create instrument BOMs and specification sheets; ensure PID alignment with trim and line lists.
• Check engineering line lists, PID, and drum trim drawings for code conformance and accuracy.
• Support development of new trim and instrument standards and train staff.
