Babcock & Wilcox in Akron, OH seeks an IC&E Principal Engineer to lead instrumentation, controls, and electrical system design for boiler and environmental projects. You will coordinate engineering work with internal teams and external customers while leading multiple projects.

Requirements include a BS in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, 10+ years of experience, and strong communication skills. ISA/NFPA/IEEE/NEMA/IEC familiarity is preferred; AVEVA experience is a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Experience with ISA, NFPA, IEEE, NEMA, IEC preferred.
• AVEVA applications experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop instrumentation deliverables: datasheets, location drawings, installation details.
• Develop control deliverables: narratives, logic diagrams, cause/effect diagrams, panels and BOM.
• Use databases to generate I/O, Instrument, Alarm, and Electrical Load Lists.
• Prepare bid specs and evaluate vendor quotations for compliance.
• Assist in P&ID development.
• Act as SME to deepen technical knowledge.
• Travel to support meetings, HAZOPs, start-up, FAT (domestic/international).
• Design complete projects, systems, components, or processes.
• Prepare project drawings and documents.
• Develop technical specs and solve complex problems.
• Perform research and investigations.
• Assign tasks to and lead supporting engineers.
• Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Develop Operating Instructions.
• Provide start-up and site support.
• Mentor less experienced engineers.
• Lead discipline on moderate projects.
