Job summary

RENTECH Boiler Systems, Inc. seeks an Electrical/Controls Engineer to evaluate electrical and control requirements for boiler projects per customer specifications. Responsibilities include drafting control system logic, selecting motor drives, and coordinating sub-vendor designs for PLC-based control panels.

You will design P&IDs, perform instrumentation calculations, and prepare electrical data sheets, with travel of about 10% to field sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Control systems specs based on PLC and DCS.
• Boolean, SAMA and relay logic preparation.
• Motor drives selection and specification.
• Review and coordination of sub vendor electrical designs.
• Instrumentation calculations: valves and flow elements.
• Design of P&IDs for boiler systems.

Responsibilities

• Home office support of field service team as needed.
• Travel estimated at 10%.
• Review and coordination of sub vendor electrical designs such as PLC based control and motor starter panels.
• Preparation of miscellaneous electrical data sheets.
• Design of process and instrumentations diagrams (P&IDs) for boiler systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
