Job summary

Cabot Corporation seeks an Instrumentation Technician to join our plant in Carrollton, Kentucky. You will monitor, calibrate and maintain process instrumentation, troubleshoot control systems, and support electrical and mechanical installations to keep operations safe and efficient.

Candidates typically have 3–5+ years of electrical/instrumentation experience, technical school training, and a solid ability to read manuals, use precision tools, and work collaboratively with maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Technical school training in electrical/instrumentation testing and repair.
• 3–5+ years of experience in instrumentation/electrical maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and read/interpret manuals.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect testing equipment and instrumentation; correct control loop issues.
• Disassemble, repair and test malfunctioning instruments and equipment.
• Calibrate and align instruments; support E&I maintenance program.
• Assist in constructing mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems for process equipment.
• Support safety meetings and project tasks with production teams.
