Job summary

Cabot Corporation in the United States seeks an Electrical/Instrumentation Technician with 3-5+ years of experience to monitor and calibrate process instrumentation, troubleshoot control loops, and support maintenance programs across the plant.

You will disassemble and test equipment, replace parts, and help align new instrumentation to meet Cabot and industry standards, while participating in safety trainings and RC14001 compliance.

Qualifications

• Technical school training relating to electrical/instrumentation testing and repair.
• 3-5+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and inspects testing equipment and instrumentation in the plant on a scheduled basis or as needed.
• Corrects control loop performance issues by making minor adjustments or tuning.
• Disassembles and examines malfunctioning instruments and test equipment to test for defects.
• Replaces or repairs defective parts and reassembles equipment to conform to specifications.
• Calibrates and aligns instruments per established standards.
