Job summary

JT4, LLC in California seeks an Instrumentation Design Engineer II to join our team supporting DoD test ranges. You will design, develop, test, install, integrate, and sustain software, electronic, and mechanical systems under senior supervision.

The role requires a BS in engineering (ABET-accredited) or MS with two years of related experience, SolidWorks proficiency, and the ability to obtain a security clearance; US citizenship is required. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Engineering and two years of related engineering experience or an MS in Engineering.
• Professional knowledge of engineering concepts and aircraft design practices.
• Familiarity with test methods and procedures; able to modify standard test protocols.
• Working knowledge of computer-based engineering tools such as SolidWorks.
• Planning/organizational skills and ability to work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, install, integrate, sustain, and maintain software, electronic, and/or mechanical equipment.
• Plan engineering steps, perform calculations, and resolve technical problems.
• Prepare design specifications and participate in design reviews and meetings.
• Deliver technical presentations and liaise with teams to meet requirements.
• Provide mechanical design support for the Global Power Bomber program and deadlines.
