Job summary

E. & J. Gallo Winery is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Technician to install, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems supporting production.

You will work with PLCs, HMIs, electrical systems and industrial networks to keep operations safe, reliable, and efficient. In this hands-on role, you’ll diagnose process upsets, support repairs with test equipment, and assist with MES and Kepware configurations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree +1 year PLC/electrical experience; OR 2-year technical degree +3 years PLC experience; OR high school +5 years PLC experience.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders; work at heights.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; travel up to 5% for onboarding/training.
• Experience with electrical safety procedures.
• Must be 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems in production.
• Diagnose process upsets and trace control-loop malfunctions with PLCs and electrical test tools.
• Support MES, historian tags, Kepware, and communication networks like DeviceNet and CAN I/O.
• Contribute to capital projects and new product commercialization with data and milestones.
• Ensure GMP, safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements are met.
