Job summary

Johnson Matthey Plc in New Jersey is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Technician to support site instrumentation and control activities. The role emphasizes safe operation, accurate test data documentation, and compliance with RC 14001, ISO 9001, IATF 16949.

You will troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain process controls, work with PLC/HMI, and coordinate with production to ensure reliable measurements of pH, pressure, temperature, flow, and gas monitors.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or Equivalent.
Understanding of Instrumentation Calibration and Documentation.
Understanding of Linear / Rotation.
Understanding of pH, ORP.
Understanding of Pressure and Vacuum.
Understanding of Temperature and Humidity.
Understanding of Liquid Level.
Understanding of Timers.
Understanding of Control Valves.
Understanding of Gas Monitors.
Understanding of General Meters.
Understanding of Liquid / Gas Flow.
Understanding of Calipers – Desired.
Understanding of Fume Hood Face Velocity - Desired.
Understanding of Industrial HVAC Systems – Desired.

Responsibilities

Performing all duties in a safe manner, within compliance of all site policies and procedures.
Troubleshoot, inspect, test, maintain, repair, clean and calibrate instrumentation and control equipment.
Familiar with computerized systems to enter and retrieve relevant data. PLC for HMI display navigation and instrument process calibration.
Perform regular inspections of plant instrumentation and control equipment.
Assist in developing preventative and predictive maintenance procedures for plant instrumentation and control equipment.
Interact with Production Supervisors and Operators, PSRM group, Engineering for fabrication, installation, and troubleshootings.
Provide technical guidance regarding instrumentation and control equipment.
Support RC 14001, ISO 9001, IATF 16949 compliance and sustainability vision in daily activities.
