Job summary

Riviana Foods in Texas is seeking an Industrial Instrumentation Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and program our plant's control systems. You will work with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Studio 5000, HMI/SCADA, VFDs, and related instrumentation to ensure reliable operations.

Responsibilities include diagnosing 4–20 mA signals, reading electrical diagrams, optimizing control logic, and supporting preventive maintenance. Weekend work and rotating shifts are required to keep the line running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Technical degree, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Industrial Automation.
• Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs and Studio 5000.
• Knowledge of industrial instrumentation and 4–20 mA signal systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical control and power diagrams.
• Familiarity with VFDs, HMI, SCADA, and industrial control systems.
• Understanding of electrical systems, motors, and industrial installations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

About the Role

Preferred Qualifications

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Allen‑Bradley PLC programming using Studio 5000.
• Experience programming and configuring HMI and SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP industrial communication networks.
• Experience with PID control systems and process automation.
• Advanced troubleshooting experience with complex electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

*Must be available to work weekends, with one scheduled day off between Monday and Friday.*
