Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking a Production Technician - Instrumentation & Controls for the Okeechobee Clean Energy Center in Vero Beach, FL. You will be part of the operations team and work a 12-hour rotating shift to maintain plant equipment.

Qualified candidates have experience in Instrument and Control systems or equivalent and hold a valid Driver's license (non-CDL). NextEra Energy offers comprehensive benefits and a strong safety culture at the Florida site.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL) is required.

Responsibilities

• Assures appropriate configuration of assigned plant equipment.
• Monitors performance to identify operating characteristics, taking necessary actions to prevent or limit failure and optimize efficiency.
• Uses appropriate tooling and equipment to provide and sustain a safe, clean and productive workplace.
• Performs preventive maintenance to ensure proper function of equipment.
• Performs other maintenance tasks as needed.
• Executes in-plant clearances as required.
• Follows safe work practices and MOA guidelines.
