Job summary
Lansing Board of Water & Light in Lansing, MI, is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Technician to support electrical, steam, water, and chilled water utilities. You will work with DCS/SCADA systems, PLCs, process transmitters, and networks, performing testing, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting across both legacy and modern equipment.
The role requires a four-year Instrument Controls Specialist apprenticeship or equivalent education plus several years of utility maintenance
Qualifications
- Four-year ICS apprenticeship or equivalent education.
- Several years of utility maintenance experience.
- Ability to obtain respirator, CPR, and AED certification within six months.
Responsibilities
- Test, calibrate, maintain, and repair DCS/SCADA systems.
- Install and troubleshoot PLCs, transmitters, and field devices.
- Read schematics, diagrams, and manuals for system modifications.
