Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr

Our Instrumentation & Controls Engineers provide technically complex and robust control systems to support water/wastewater facilities. Our Engineers are involved in designing or integrating industrial process control systems. You will be exposed to and become proficient in the design and implementation of industrial control systems. Additional requirements include knowledge of PLC and HMI programming, panel designing, power distribution systems, Mechanical Systems (Pumps, Fuel, and Generators), fire alarm, and life safety systems, and construction administration services.

Your daily job functions will include:
  • Design control panel layouts, BOMs, Nameplate Schedules, AC and/or DC wireway layouts.
  • Development of I/O wiring diagrams, AC and/or DC power distribution diagrams, I/O Lists.
  • Instrumentation specifications and selection of instruments using an Instrument Index and/or instrument data sheets.
  • Copper and fiber optic networks for the control system or SCADA.
  • Develop Bill of Materials and Estimates for Design projects.
  • Prepare drawings detailing the system designed utilizing AutoCAD and REVIT.
  • Develop Conceptual design reports and Concept of Operation Documents.
  • Prepare Engineering Specifications.
  • Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects.
  • Engage with instrumentation vendors and manufacturers to understand product capabilities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
  • Professional expertise
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Proficiency with Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Schneider, Wonderware SCADA manufacturers
  • 10%-15% travel expected, with trips lasting 1 to 2 weeks, local or international
Preferred
  • EIT with plans to take the Control Systems PE exam once requirements are met
