Job Description
Client is seeking a Remote PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY WATER AND WASTEWATER MARKET SECTOR LEAD to support their Private Sector Group client growth and project demands. This role involves working on industrial projects to address complex water challenges through innovative solutions that enhance productivity, facility and system reliability, and overall profitability. The role is remote, with preferred locations in New York City, Salt Lake City, Portland, or Phoenix.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the client's leadership team to expand the private sector team nationally, focusing on the pharmaceutical and related sectors.
- Manage the marketing and execution of planning, design, and construction scopes related to performance, financial metrics, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, risk, and client satisfaction.
- Develop and communicate strategic growth business plans to achieve sales objectives in the PSG sectors, particularly in Pharmaceuticals.
- Support business development activities, including identifying project opportunities, proposal development, client presentations, and scope development/contract negotiations.
- Oversee the daily activities of local and project-based team members, ensuring deadlines are met and high-quality work is delivered. This includes task assignment, feedback provision, and fostering collaboration.
- Build and maintain long-term, value-based relationships with clients and partners, including engineering firms, contractors, vendors, and manufacturers.
- Mentor junior and mid-level staff within the private sector team.
- Participate actively in professional associations, including attending and engaging in local, regional, and industry conferences.
- Review complex project terms and conditions to identify and mitigate risks to the business.
- Travel as required for project needs.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer.
- Proven experience in winning and managing medium to large projects in the Pharmaceutical and related industrial sectors, with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
- Experience designing industrial water and wastewater treatment plants, including conceptual/preliminary designs and detailed documentation.
- Masters Degree in Civil, Chemical, Environmental, or a similar engineering field.
- Minimum coursework in physical, chemical, biological processes, hydraulics, and water/wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design.
- 10-15 years of relevant industrial water and wastewater engineering experience, including 5-10 years specifically in the Pharmaceutical industry.
