Job summary

Orange County Sanitation District is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to provide technical leadership in design, commissioning and construction for our wastewater treatment plants and facilities.

The role analyzes complex systems, reviews submittals, develops P&IDs, control panels and specifications, coordinates with operations, and ensures conformance with OC San standards and engineering policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college/university.
• Four years of professional engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in California.
• Valid California Class C Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in design, commissioning and construction projects for wastewater facilities.
• Review construction submittals, commissioning procedures and startup plans.
• Develop and review P&IDs, control panels, network diagrams and control strategies.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance and design consultants to ensure project success.
• Ensure compliance with OC San standards, policies and engineering best practices.
