Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks an experienced Instrumentation & I&C Engineer in Kansas City, MO to design and lead SCADA and control-system projects. You will develop P&IDs, network diagrams, and panel layouts while coordinating with multi-discipline teams and site activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 5+ years of applicable experience in control systems engineering.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex control systems assignments, evaluating and selecting engineering techniques.
• Coordinate control system staff workload across design and construction phases.
• Develop biddable SCADA/I&C documents including P&IDs and wiring diagrams.
• Lead design reviews, field activities, and client meetings on control projects.
• Interface with electrical/process engineers to coordinate network, power, and instrumentation.
• Assist with system testing, commissioning, and startup activities.
