Job summary

HDR is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to design and integrate control systems across critical facilities. You will develop instrumented control layouts, P&IDs, and SCADA specifications while coordinating with electrical and process engineers.

You will lead design reviews, support field testing, and participate in master planning projects, traveling to client sites as needed to document as-built conditions and ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and coordinating control systems for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency with SCADA systems, instrumentation, and networked architectures.
• Ability to develop biddable construction documents (P&IDs, diagrams, layouts).
• Strong collaboration with electrical and process engineers and field staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex assignments evaluating control system techniques and procedures.
• Coordinate workload across design phases to complete documents on schedule.
• Review documents for cross-discipline conflicts and ensure accuracy.
• Develop SCADA/I&C construction documents including P&IDs and diagrams.
• Lead or support Master Planning projects for SCADA and networks.
• Travel to client facilities for field assessments and validation.
