Job summary

Targa Resources is seeking an Instrumentation, Controls, and Automation Engineer to design, implement, and support control systems across midstream facilities and large capital projects. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, construction, and project teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective automation solutions.

The role requires proficiency in Power BI, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Qualifications

• Engineering or technical degree from a two- or four-year university.
• 3–5 years of related experience in instrumentation, controls, or automation.
• Proficiency in Power BI for reporting and analytics.
• Working knowledge of NFPA, ISA, API, OSHA codes and standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel at least 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support instrumentation, control systems, and automation.
• Lead I&C scope on major projects and coordinate with multiple teams.
• Develop and review instrumentation deliverables and drawings.
• Support FAT/SAT, PLC programming, and commissioning.
• Prepare cost estimates and participate in project lifecycle.
