Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. seeks an entry-level Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer I to support design, documentation, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems for gas turbine and power plant projects.

You will learn core I&C principles, assist senior engineers, and collaborate with design, operations, procurement, and sales teams while developing technical skills and contributing to project execution.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
0-3 years of relevant experience (internships/co-ops OK).
Basic understanding of instrumentation and control concepts.
Exposure to power generation or industrial systems preferred.
Familiarity with control systems such as Netmation, MK5/MK6, T3000, Ovation, DeltaV, SIMATIC.
Basic knowledge of instrumentation devices (pressure, temperature, level, flow, valves).
Will travel up to 5–10%.

Responsibilities

Support the design, documentation, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems.
Review customer requirements and project specifications.
Assist in development of instrument loops, datasheets, and drawings.
Verify instrumentation against P&IDs and develop instrument indexes/lists.
Collaborate with design, operations, procurement, and sales teams.
Assist in preparing technical specifications and RFQs.
Support vendor documentation reviews and quote evaluations.
Contribute to I&C procedures and checklists.
