Job summary

Boston Government Services, LLC (BGS) seeks an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to support a client in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. This full-time role focuses on developing detailed I&C design packages, providing field support, and troubleshooting plant systems.

The successful candidate will have a BS in engineering (ABET-accredited), 5+ years in I&C design, PLC/HMI programming experience, and ability to work in a hybrid Oak Ridge environment. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering ABET-accredited.
• Minimum 5 years in instrumentation and controls design.
• 5+ years PLC and HMI programming experience.
• Experience with NEC, UL508A, and ISA standards for instrumentation and controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop high quality detailed design packages and provide field technical support.
• Prepare conduit/cable schedules, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs input.
• Perform plant walkdowns to generate design documents and support craft personnel.
• Develop control cabinet assemblies and system diagrams for batch and continuous processes.
