Boston Government Services, LLC (BGS) seeks an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to support our client in Oak Ridge, TN. The role focuses on providing high-quality design packages, field technical support, and troubleshooting for plant systems.

The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering, 5+ years of instrumentation and controls design experience, PLC/HMI programming, and knowledge of NEC, UL508A, ISA standards. Hybrid work arrangement in Oak Ridge; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering ABET-accredited.
• Minimum 5 years instrumentation and controls design experience.
• 5–10 years PLC and HMI programming for analog and digital IO.
• Experience with NEC, UL508A, and relevant ISA standards.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening.
• U.S. citizen and eligible for security badge.

Responsabilités

• Develop high quality design packages and assist with procurement.
• Provide field technical support and troubleshoot plant systems.
• Prepare conduit/cable schedules, one-line diagrams, loop diagrams, and wiring docs.
• Create control cabinet drawings and P&ID input for processes.
• Collaborate in an integrated project team and perform site walkdowns.
