Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) has an immediate opening for an Instrument & Control Technician at Gerald Gentleman Station in Sutherland, Nebraska. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing instrumentation, controls, and DCS systems to ensure reliable plant operations.

The position requires a 2-year associate degree in electronic/electrical/mechatronics or related field, plus 3 years I&C experience, or an equivalent combination.

Qualifications

• Two-year Associate Degree in Electronic/Electrical/Mechatronics or related field, and 3 years of I&C Technician experience
• Equivalent military training with 3 years of I&C Technician experience in an industrial setting
• High School diploma/GED with 5 years of I&C experience or completion of an I&C Technician apprentice program or other qualifying experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair instrumentation, controls, and DCS systems.
• Calibrate, test, configure, and maintain environmental monitoring systems.
• Program/configure station PLCs using vendor software.
• Configure and maintain radio canopy and environmental monitoring systems.
• Maintain detailed equipment history and compliance with EPA/NDEE/NRD regulations.
