Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) has an immediate opening for an Engineer I - V (Instrument and Control) at Cooper Nuclear Station in Brownville, Nebraska. The engineer will support station staff, analyze I&C systems, and help ensure safe, reliable operation, with collaboration across field personnel, technicians, and engineers.

The role may involve Emergency Response Organization duties and requires reporting to the station within 45 minutes when activated.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or a Professional Engineering License.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
• Ability to perform basic cost estimating and scheduling.
• Technical writing and applied mathematics skills.

Aufgaben

• Review operational data and internal investigation outcomes to identify I&C issues and initiate corrective actions.
• Research and evaluate new instrumentation, controls, and digital technologies and utilize engineering drawings and standards in tasks.
• Develop or assist in developing I&C design requirements, calculations, drawings, BOMs, installation specs, and acceptance test criteria.
• Perform trending and analysis of I&C system and component performance to support reliability and maintenance.
