Job summary

Loudoun Water in Virginia is seeking an Instrumentation / Control System Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair a broad range of industrial control equipment for water and wastewater operations.

The role requires two years of vocational training and four years in instrumentation/electronics, with three years in industrial control systems. Certifications in ISA CCST Level 1 or Electrical Apprenticeship are desired or obtainable within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of specialized vocational training or college-level electronics coursework.
• Four years experience in instrumentation/electronic systems; three years with industrial control systems.
• Experience with process control sensors (flow, level, pressure, analysis, etc.).
• Experience with computer-based maintenance management systems, Allen‑Bradley PLCs, VFDs, and UPS is desired.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair or replace a wide variety of industrial control equipment.
• Support water and wastewater operations with reliable instrument and control system performance.
• Respond to on-call status and provide overtime as needed.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to optimize system reliability and safety.
