Job summary

Loudoun Water is seeking a motivated Instrumentation / Control System Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair a wide variety of industrial control equipment including PLCs, VFDs, SCADA systems, sensors, and other related electronics. ISA CCST Level 1 certification, Electrical Apprenticeship, or the ability to obtain either within 12 months is required.

Four years of instrumentation/electronic systems experience and three years with industrial control systems are

Qualifications

• Requires ISA CCST Level 1 certification or Electrical Apprenticeship within 12 months.
• Minimum two years of specialized vocational training or college-level coursework in electronics with four years of instrumentation/electronic systems experience.
• Three years of experience with industrial control systems; knowledge of process control sensors and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate and repair a wide variety of industrial control system equipment.
• Work with PLCs, VFDs, sensors, SCADA, and related electronics in water utilities settings.
• Possess ability to work on-call or OT as needed.

We are seeking a highly motivated, team oriented Instrumentation / Control System Technician with problem solving skills to install, maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair or replace a wide variety of industrial control system equipment including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFD's), Supervisory, Control, and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, process sensors, and other electronic equipment related to the water industry. ISA CCST Level 1 certification, Electrical Apprenticeship certification, or the ability to obtain either within 12 months.

Requirements: Minimum two years of specialized vocational training or college-level coursework in electronics and four years experience in the instrumentation/electronic systems; with three years with industrial control systems; preferably in water distribution and sewer utility operations. Experience with process control sensors (flow, level, pressure, analysis, etc.); preferably in water distribution and sewer utility operations. Experience with computer-based maintenance management systems, Allen-Bradley PLC's, VFD's, and UPS also desired. Ability to work "on-call" status and/or overtime as needed.

Salary Range: $62,195 - $76,016 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. Position will remain open until filled. EOE
