Job summary

Williams International is seeking an Instrumentation & Calibration Technician to calibrate equipment across test cells and manufacturing environments in Utah. You will perform calibrations and adjustments following established procedures and contribute to traceability documentation.

The role requires 3–4 years of calibration experience, strong electronics troubleshooting, and the ability to read schematics. A US citizenship and potential security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in instrumentation & electronics.
  • 3–4 years of calibration experience with electrical/mechanical instrumentation.
  • 2+ years of calibration/instrumentation experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2–4 years’ experience in electronics troubleshooting and repair or related technical discipline.
  • Knowledge of computers and data acquisition systems.
  • Ability to read a wire/mechanical schematic.
  • Experience calibrating torque, load/force, strain, vibration, pressure, vacuum, temperature, weight, mass, AC/DC current/voltage.
  • Physical lifting requirements: lift 50 pounds, push/pull 60 pounds, reach above shoulder.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate equipment throughout test cells and manufacturing.
  • Provide calibration services on measurement equipment used in production, quality control, laboratory, and manufacturing environments.
  • Calibrate dimensional, mechanical and devices across multiple disciplines.
  • Collect, compile, and measure data to support calibration traceability documentation and certificates.
  • Create Instrument Control Numbers (ICNs) and document/filing calibration records in the TMS system.
  • Participate in training and development of other team members.

The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an Instrumentation & Calibration Technician to join our team. The Technician will calibrate equipment throughout the test cells and manufacturing.

Additionally, the Instrumentation & Calibration Technician will:

  • Perform calibrations and adjustments in accordance with approved standard procedures.
  • Provide calibration services on measurement equipment and instruments used in production, quality control, laboratory, and manufacturing environments.
  • Calibrate dimensional, mechanical and devices across multiple disciplines
  • Collect, compile, and measure data to support calibration traceability documentation and certificates.
  • Responsible for creating Instrument Control Numbers (ICNs) and Documenting/filing calibration records in TMS system.
  • Participate in the training and development of other team members.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in instrumentation & electronics.
  • 3-4 years of work experience directly related to calibration of electrical/mechanical instrumentation.
  • Two years or more of calibration/instrumentation experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Two to four years’ experience in electronics troubleshooting and repair or other related technical discipline.
  • Knowledge of computers and data acquisition systems
  • Ability to read a wire/mechanical schematic.
  • Experienced in calibrating several disciplines of test and measurement equipment including but not limited to: torque, load/force, strain, vibration, pressure, vacuum, temperature, weight, mass, AC/DC current/voltage.
  • Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches).
U.S. citizenship is required
