Job summary

Pacer Group is seeking an Instrument Test Technician 2 for on-site production testing of flow cytometers and related medical devices in Milpitas, CA. You will perform system- and subassembly-level tests, troubleshoot, and ensure devices meet quality specs.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, teamwork with QA and engineering, and documentation of test results. This is a 40-hour/week, Monday–Friday position with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• 3+ years in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Experience in medical device manufacturing preferred.
• Experience testing laser-based optical systems and electronics.

Responsibilities

• Perform final production testing and inspection to verify instruments meet performance specifications and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot electronic, mechanical, optical, fluidic, and electromechanical systems at system/subassembly levels.
• Analyze failed test results to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Read and follow detailed test instructions, assembly instructions, work orders, BOMs, SOPs, and other controlled documentation.
• Work with engineers, technicians, production staff, and QA to resolve testing and product issues.
