Job summary

Waters is seeking an Instrument Test and Process Technician for our Sparks, MD facility. This role provides technical support to manufacturing lines, leading assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of instrument platforms, while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will collaborate with process engineers, train operators, and drive continuous improvement through deviations, quality notifications, and problem-solving across the production line.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in mechanical or electronics required; robotics experience preferred.
• Must test complex electromechanical instruments and interpret results.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly with process engineering and production teams.
• Ability to manage multiple orders and meet time standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide and lead technical support for instrument and sub-assembly manufacturing.
• Own safety, delivery, quality, and cost for assigned lines.
• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot instruments.
• Train production staff on assembly and test procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers to solve manufacturing challenges.
• Perform deviations, quality notifications, and CP-Rework tasks.
