Job summary

BD is seeking an Instrument Test and Process Technician at USA MD - Sparks. The role leads technical support for instrument and sub-assembly manufacturing, handling assembly, testing and debugging across production lines.

You will work with process engineering to drive safety, quality and cost improvements, train operators, and collaborate with engineers to solve design and manufacturing challenges. The position emphasizes continuous improvement and adherence to BD quality standards.

Qualifications

• Two year Associates degree in mechanical or electronics or relevant degree. Robotics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the manufacturing process owner for assigned manufacturing line(s) including responsibility for Safety, Delivery, Quality and Cost.
• Expertise in assembly, testing and troubleshooting for assigned platform(s).
• Assembles, tests, and troubleshoots assigned instrument production line.
• Works with Manufacturing Operators to meet weekly production goals for assigned platform(s).
• Troubleshoot electronic circuits, PCBs, mechanical systems, and integrated electromechanical systems including software.
• Supports the process engineering activities for the assigned production line(s) such as Deviation Waivers, Quality Notification, Repair/Re-work forms, and Out of Tolerance findings.
• Train production associates on assembly and test procedures.
• Work with Engineers to solve design and manufacturing challenges.
• Recommend continuous improvement opportunities. Perform feasibility tests.
