Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) is seeking an Instrument Test and Process Technician in Sparks, MD to provide and lead technical support for instrument and sub-assembly manufacturing, including assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.

You will own the manufacturing process for the lines, train production staff, and collaborate with process engineering to resolve issues and improve efficiency while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Two year Associate degree in mechanical or electronics or relevant degree.
• Rigorous test capability for highly complex electromechanical instruments.
• Clear verbal and written communication to support process engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing process for assigned lines including safety, delivery, quality and cost.
• Assemble, test and troubleshoot instrument production lines.
• Train production staff on assembly and test procedures.
• Support process engineering activities and quality documentation.
• Lead continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
• Work with engineers to solve design and manufacturing challenges.
