Job summary

TotalEnergies recherche un Technicien Instrumentation pour assurer la maintenance des instruments et des systèmes de contrôle dans une installation industrielle. Vous calibrerez, réparerez et manipulerez les séquences de contrôle, en vous appuyant sur les manuels, schémas et rapports techniques.

Vous dépannerez les pannes, participerez à l'installation et au démarrage de nouveaux systèmes, et veillerez à la sécurité et à la conformité.

Qualifications

• Profil académique requis: diplôme d'études secondaires ou équivalent et niveau technique pour l'instrumentation.
• Expérience minimale de 5 ans en maintenance instrumentale.
• Objectif: obtenir la certification CCST Level II ISA dans les 3 années.
• Certification NICET Level II en instrumentation ou équivalent.

Responsibilities

• Effectuer des travaux sur instruments et systèmes de contrôle avec calibrage, réparation, modification et compréhension des séquences.
• Dépanner les défaillances et aider à la planification, installation et démarrage de nouveaux systèmes de contrôle.
• Aider le propriétaire du projet dans la planification, installation et démarrage des systèmes de contrôle neufs et révisés.
• Intégrer les modifications des révisions d'usine dans les systèmes de documentation et bases de données.
• Inspecter et évaluer les systèmes d'instrumentation et de contrôle selon le design.
• Aider aux démarrages d'usine relatifs aux systèmes de contrôle.
• Comprendre les schémas d'ingénierie et les diagrammes de flux de procédé.
• Constater les qualités physiques nécessaires pour travailler à tout emplacement de l'usine.
• Connaître les opérations et procédés de l'usine.
• Lire et comprendre rapidement les instructions et exécuter les tâches avec compétence et professionnalisme.
• Être ponctuel et informer le superviseur des actions.
• Comprendre et respecter les règles de sécurité.
• Montrer sa capacité à apprendre de nouveaux concepts instrumentaux.

The Instrument Technician is responsible for the maintenance of all plant instrumentation and control systems not maintained by outside contract.

The Instrument Technician is responsible for the maintenance of all plant instrumentation and control systems not maintained by outside contract.

The incumbent will have a working knowledge of controls systems and test equipment normally used for instrumentation trouble evaluation and repair. The position requires an ability to glean information from service manuals, blueprints, schematics, and trouble reports as necessary for the performance of assigned duties.

Aid in the preventive maintenance of instrumentation and controls systems as required for safety, dependability, accuracy and to suggest those changes or modifications that will improve overall plant operation.

Activités

• Perform instrument and controls related work with the ability to calibrate, repair, modify, and understand the functions of instrumentation and/or controls sequences.
• Troubleshoot system failures and participate in planning, installing, and starting up of new control systems.
• Aid the project owner in planning, installation and startup of new and revised control systems.
• Integrate resulting changes from plant revisions and capital projects into the existing site record systems including the creation, updating, and maintenance of required controls documentation and databases.
• Inspect and evaluate instrumentation and control systems in accordance with design intent.
• Aid in plant startups relative to control systems
• Must be able to understand engineering drawings and process flow diagrams.
• Possess those physical qualities required to perform assigned duties at any location of the plant.
• Possess a good knowledge of plant operations and process.
• Quickly grasp instructions and carry out an assignment in a proficient and businesslike manner.
• Be punctual in keeping supervisor informed of actions.
• Must understand and comply with safety rules and regulations.
• Will apply his or her ability to learn new concepts pertinent to the instrumentation field.
• Demonstrate initiative in his or her work performance.

Profil du candidat

This position requires a High School diploma or equivalency certificate, (G.E.D.) and a technical level of education and or experience that will permit assignments engaged in the application, design assistance, installation and maintenance of measurement and control instrumentation systems utilized within an industrial manufacturing facility.

Minimum 5 Years Instrument Maintenance Experience.

Achieve steady progress toward obtaining, obtain and then maintain a certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) Level II Certification as administered by the Instrument Society of America (ISA) or equivalent* within 3 years of entering the Instrument Technician position.

• Industrial Instrumentation Engineering Technology Level II Certification as administered by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET)
