Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking an Instrument Technician for its sterile processing team. You will disinfect, sterilize, and assemble surgical instruments and trays, ensuring they are ready for use in operating rooms and patient areas.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of instrument processing experience; preferred CRCST, CSPDT, CASSPT certifications. Work hours are 7 am to 3:30 pm.

Disinfects, sterilizes, and assembles surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment. Position is characterized by the ability to recognize surgical instruments and surgical instrument trays typically assembled in applicable area.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education.
• One (1) year experience as an Instrument Technician

PREFERRED

• Central Service Technician Certification:
• Inpatient sterile processing CRCST or CSPDT certification.
• Outpatient sterile processing CRCST, CSPDT or CASSPT certification.
• For GI Labs, CFER is acceptable.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units

Work Hours:

7 am - 3:30 pm
