Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a Central Service Tech/Surgical Tech to maintain standards for instrument set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilization in a timely, precise manner.

You will sterilize, assemble and store medical supplies and equipment, and collaborate with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets and equipment, ensuring a smooth workflow and excellent service.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Central Services Processing or Surgical Tech program required.
• In lieu of certification prior experience as Central Service or Surgical Tech required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets and equipment.
• Maintains consistent workflow and provides superior customer service.
