Job summary

Graphic Packaging International seeks an Instrument Electrician to enhance plant reliability and reduce downtime. The role analyzes rotating equipment health, performs calibration, troubleshooting, and installation across electrical and instrumentation systems to proactively prevent failures and improve overall efficiency.

The candidate will work with DCS/PLC controls, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and high/low voltage equipment, contributing to continuous improvement in a large packaging mill

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Electrical applicants must have served 4 years of electrical apprenticeship or helper, and obtained a Journeyman Electricians License.
• Successful candidates must have a minimum of journey skill level experience in instrumentation and/or industrial electrical systems.
• Instrument applicants must have one of the following: Industrial technology degree, Certificate from accredited college or trade school, ISA CCST Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical/instrumentation equipment.
• Troubleshoot & repair electrical circuits, install conduit and wiring, and repair lighting and PLCs.
• Work with DCS, control valves, transmitters, and instrumentation; support drive systems and pneumatics.
• Maintain safety compliance and adhere to site policies.
• Collaborate with team to ensure reliability and uptime of process equipment.
• Operate and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID diagrams.
