Job summary

Mass General Brigham Incorporated is seeking an Instrument Coordinator to oversee decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instrumentation and loaner equipment for OR, Maternity, and Emergency Department. The role ensures adherence to IA HCSMM/CBSPD standards and maintains CRCST or CBSPD certification throughout employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
• Effective written and verbal communications skills required.
• Successful completion of Central Processing Technology Course or Surgical Technician Program required.
• At least four (4) years of sterile processing experience required; Endoscopy experience preferred.
• Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or CSPDT or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize instrument decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and case picking based on surgical schedule.
• Assist and collaborate with OR staff in revision of instrument kits.
• Act as resource for technicians for instrument identification and kit assembly.
• Manage loaner instrumentation process.
• Verify sterilization cycles and documentation.
