Job summary

RigUp is seeking an Instrument and Electrical Technician III to provide Automation-I&E support for Southeast New Mexico oil and gas operations on a 5/2 schedule. You will work with PLCs, transmitters and HMIs to keep facilities running and safe.

Maintain electrical systems, instrumentation and controls in gas processing facilities, install and troubleshoot PLCs, transmitters, HMIs, and communication equipment, and participate in a strong safety culture while collaborating with a tight-knit team

Qualifications

• Ability to install, troubleshoot and repair PLCs and instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits and components.
• Knowledge of industrial communication equipment and networks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office).
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced personnel.
• Understand O&G production equipment and operations.
• Must be able to get certified for work at heights with fall protection.
• Must be able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures.
• Available for call-out rotations including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls in oil and gas processing facilities, with emphasis on gas compression facilities.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain Automation-I&E equipment such as PLCs, transmitters, communications gear, and HMIs.
• Engage in and promote a strong safety culture.
• Use SCADA systems to monitor operation.
• Perform Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures as required.
• Perform other operations duties as assigned.

Job Description:

This position will provide Automation-I&E support to Southeast New Mexico Oil and Gas Operations working a 5/2 schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain electrical systems, Instrumentation, and Controls in oil and gas processing facilities with a strong emphasis in gas compression facilities
• Work as a team to maintain and install Automation-I&E equipment such as PLC components, wired and wireless transmitters, communications equipment, HMI's, etc.
• Engage in and promote a strong safety culture
• Use SCADA systems to monitor operation
• Perform Lock-Out/Tag-Out process on required equipment
• Other operations duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to install, troubleshoot and repair PLC's, Allan Bradley, Fisher ROC's, Emerson Rosemount Devices, etc.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and components
• Knowledge of communication equipment such as Freewave, XetaWave, RedLion, ABB, Cambium, and Fiberoptic Systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in computer skills such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced facility personnel
• Understand O&G production equipment and operations
• Must be able to get certified to work at heights using appropriate fall protection
• Must be able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures
• Once adequately trained, must be available to work a call out rotation (nights, weekends, holidays)
• Required to work late as needed
• Safety conscious, team oriented, self-starter, works well with minimal supervision
