Position Information

The Division of Academic & Student Affairs (DASA) serves all students at NC State through academic affairs, student affairs, and University College.

The focus of the Instructor/Tutor is to provide instruction and one‑to‑one or group tutorial services to 21st Century Community Learning Center students.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants in academic skill building for core curricula courses, especially rigorous curriculum courses.
• Conduct or secure facilitators for Special Labs, which may include instruction in ACT test prep, STEM exposure and instrument, workforce development skills, family enrichment activities, and more.

Requirements and Preferences

Work schedule: Mon – Fri, 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM.

Minimum experience/education: High School Diploma required with sufficient academic standing to provide tutorial services.

• Google Suite experience.
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs (student supplies).

Preferred experience: Experience instructing or tutoring students in a K‑12 setting.
