The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is hiring an Instructor for Public Safety & Human Services on a Tenure Track starting Fall 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role requires in-person teaching, curriculum development, and student assessment.
Qualified candidates must hold a Master's degree in a related field and possess significant practitioner experience. The position offers a competitive salary range based on qualifications, health benefits, and numerous employee perks.
The selected individual is required to teach in person, on multiple days, at our main campuses and learning or satellite centers during the morning, afternoon, and evening. The role includes development of course syllabi and materials, evaluation of mastery of student, program, and institutional learning outcomes, and participation in the development of formative and summative assessments and assessment instruments. The instructor will maintain office hours for student advisement, participate in recruitment activities, and contribute to program and curriculum development. Attendance at School, Department, and Program meetings and activities is required. Additional duties are assigned by the Chair as needed for the office, division, and institution.
Candidates will be required to deliver a teaching demonstration.
Initial salary placement is based on educational level and total years of full‑time equivalent teaching experience. For an instructor with a Master’s degree, the salary range would be $58,046 to $74,304 annually. The overall range extends to $89,166 annually for a Doctorate with 10 years’ experience. A maximum of 10 years of experience is considered for initial placement.
