Job description

Part - Time Instructor, Women's Studies - FY 2027

CSN is seeking part-time instructors to teach Women's Studies courses, primarily in an on-ground format, with potential opportunities for online instruction. Teaching assignments will primarily include WMST 113: Gender, Race, and Class, with additional course assignments based on departmental needs.

Core Responsibilities
  • Teach college-level courses in the field.
  • Develop syllabi and course materials.
  • Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
  • Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.
  • Teach at multiple campuses in Clark County.
  • Be available to teach day, evening and/or weekend courses.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Women's Studies or closely aligned field of study from a regionally accredited college or university with atleast 18 graduate credits in the subject being taught (also must be from a regionally accredited college or university).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Women's Studies or closely aligned field of study from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • 1 year (two semesters) of teaching Women's Studies courses at the college level.
Salary

$925.00 per credit hour. Courses/Credits assigned may vary by semester.
