Job summary

Lamar Institute of Technology is seeking an Instructor to provide engaging and effective instruction for students in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics courses. Responsibilities include maintaining office hours, teaching classes, and developing curriculum. Experience in higher education is preferred, along with a strong commitment to student recruitment and retention. This position may require teaching hybrid and online courses as well.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent with 18 graduate hours in the subject is required.
• Experience teaching in higher education is preferred.
• Knowledge of teaching methodologies/pedagogical strategies is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction for students in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics courses.
• Engage students in the learning process actively.
• Coordinate and attend advisory committee meetings.

Skills

Education

Master’s degree in Biology/Physics/Chemistry
