A doctorate or terminal degree in mass communication or a related field is required for the rank of assistant professor on tenure track.

Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience, especially at the undergraduate level; professional experience in the fields of advertising and/or public relations; video, production and student media experience; ability to teach core courses such as Mass Media and Society, Film Appreciation, and Interpersonal Communication; experience in academic advising; experience with recruiting.

Application Process: Send a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, teaching philosophy statement, copies of unofficial transcripts, and contact information for three references to sara.conyers@msutexas.edu. General questions may be directed to department chair Dr. Jim Sernoe at jim.sernoe@msutexas.edu.
