Description

The Division of Pediatric Hematology, Department of Pediatrics atthe Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is activelyrecruiting faculty at the Instructor or Asstistant level.Appointments will be based on the qualifications of the candidate,pending review by the promotions committee. Appointment may be fullor part-time, based on candidate needs and career goals.

The successful candidate will ideally participate in all activitiesof the Division and Department, including the Maryland HemophiliaTreatment (HTC) Center at Johns Hopkins. Med/peds or othercandidates willing to see both adult and pediatric patients in theHTC will be given high priority. Training in Pediatric or AdultHematology and appropriate certification is expected, butcandidates with other suitable qualifications for these positionswill also be considered. The positions offer full facultyprivileges and superb opportunities and support for research in aworld-class environment. An active research activity related tocoagulation is desirable but not required. The successful candidatewill report to the Director of the HTC and the Division Chief,James F. Casella, MD, Rainey Professor of PediatricHematology.

Qualifications

Candidates must be board certified / board eligible with theAmerican Board of Pediatrics and be licensed or eligible to belicensed in the state of Maryland.

Salary Range

The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximumsalaries for this position and is based on Johns HopkinsUniversity's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not allcandidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may varyand will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may includethe successful candidate's geographic location, skills, workexperience, internal equity, market conditions, education/trainingand other factors, as reasonably determined by theUniversity.

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas,laboratories, working with research subjects, or involvingcommunity contact requires documentation of immune status againstRubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella(chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received theTdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination.
